A foreign tourist accused of stealing a $40,000 statue from a Miami art gallery and a $16,000 bottle of wine from a restaurant has been placed on probation after a judge withheld convictions in both cases, court records show.

Stevan Milovanovic’s two Miami-Dade County cases were closed April 17. In each, Judge Cristina Miranda withheld a conviction and placed him on probation with conditions, including three months of supervision and $598 in court costs.

The cases stem from a February 28 incident in which authorities said Milovanovic entered the restaurant Sexy Fish, took a bottle of wine from a staff-only cellar and hid it in his jacket before leaving.

Stevan Milovanovic also allegedly stole a pricey bottle of wine from Miami restaurant Sexy Fish.

Hours later, he went to Galleries Bartoux, where surveillance footage showed him moving out of view near a sculpture display and returning with “a noticeable bulge” under his jacket, according to police reports and court records previously obtained by Urgent Matter.

Police later stopped a vehicle linked to the incidents and said Milovanovic admitted to both thefts after being shown surveillance images.

It was not immediately clear from the court record what happened to the sculpture or the bottle of wine following the alleged thefts.

Court records show the charges included grand theft in both cases and burglary of an occupied structure in one. Miranda also granted a stay through April 17, 2028, and discharged previously posted bonds totaling $15,000.
