This page hosts records released under the Freedom of Information Act concerning the closure of the research library at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, and the disposition of its collection, governed by 5 U.S.C. § 552.
The records were released to Urgent Matter on July 8, 2026, as the second interim response to FOIA request.
The release comprises four sets of records. The records include weekly Goddard facilities consolidation briefings dated through mid-February 2026, documenting library packing schedules, excess activities and shipment logistics.
NASA released 503 pages in full and 131 pages in part. The agency withheld portions under FOIA exemptions.
