This page hosts court records from Michaels Stores v. Jordan Nickel, filed February 3, 2026, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

In its complaint, Michaels seeks a declaration that its use of artwork by the Chicago artist Pose, whose legal name is Jordan Nickel, in connection with Ironlak spray paint displays did not infringe Pose’s alleged copyrights and did not violate state or federal law.

The lawsuit followed a January 5 cease-and-desist letter from Pose demanding that Michaels stop using the artwork.
