This page hosts court records from Masterworks v. Hai Min Tran, a February 5, 2026, lawsuit filed in New York Supreme Court.

Masterworks, the art investment platform founded by Scott Lynn, filed a declaratory judgment action against its former chief product officer, Hai Min Tran, after allegedly receiving a demand letter threatening employment claims.

According to the complaint, Tran has alleged he was unlawfully terminated upon returning from paternity leave.

Masterworks denies any termination occurred. The company alleges Tran voluntarily resigned from his role as Chief Product Officer before taking leave and later sought to return on a reduced, part-time basis. The complaint states the company is seeking a court declaration that Tran resigned voluntarily and is therefore barred from bringing the threatened statutory claims
