This page hosts the Notice of Removal filed by Opera Gallery Holding USA, Inc. in the dispute with Agorive, S.A., a Belgian investment company.

The filing moves a lawsuit filed by Agorive from Miami-Dade County Circuit Court to U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and lays out Opera Gallery’s first public account of what the lawsuit is about.

In the notice, Opera Gallery said the parties signed a 2015 shareholders' agreement in which Agorive invested $2 million in exchange for an equity stake. Opera Gallery said Agorive is trying to unwind that deal now and is seeking what the company calls “a $6 million windfall” on the original $2 million investment.

In the document, Opera Gallery argued the case belongs in federal court because it is a dispute between a Belgian company and a U.S. company.
